In celebration of this year’s nutrition month and the gift of life God gave me, I have decided to conduct a feeding program and donate school supplies to the students of Gregorio Oquendo Memorial School (GOMS).
As an adult, I’ve come to realize that our future lies in the hands of our children. Feeding them nutritious meals, being physically active, and teaching them the importance of education should be our top priority.
On my part, I made a small gesture to the wonderful students of GOMS, and I never expected the big welcome they gave me.
I would like to thank the staff and teachers of the school for preparing a simple yet fun program for all of us to enjoy. I had such a wonderful time.
And to my All Star family who helped, especially Ate Jha and Kuya Doven, thank you for organizing the event and getting all things in place. My appreciation is beyond words, and I will always cherish you forever.
Seeing the students’ eager and smiling faces while I hand out the donations is a feeling I would never forget– the most perfect gift on my 24th birthday.
Each of us have the capability to inspire and lead. I for one, believe that I am chosen to touch the lives of the people around me in my own simple way.
However, how much we can achieve, how many people we inspire, and how many lives we can change depends on us– our enthusiasm, our dedication, our willingness to serve, and our perspective on life.
Still, I’ve learned that no matter what we can accomplish and voyages we take, the life we could change most is our own.
On my birthday, I’ve decided to give back by making a few children happy. And as I pursue my journey with a full heart and open mind, I believe I could do more. And with the help of my family, friends, and the other people whose lives I’ve touched, we will lead this community to a better future.
